Irish composer and conductor Eímear Noone is internationally recognised as one of the world’s leading creators of music for video games and film. Based between Dublin and Los Angeles, she has built a groundbreaking career at the intersection of music, technology, creativity and leadership, becoming one of the most influential women working in contemporary orchestral composition.
Best known for her work on the globally celebrated World of Warcraft franchise, Eímear’s music has reached an audience of more than 100 million people worldwide . Her compositions have helped define the emotional landscape of some of the world’s most successful gaming titles, with credits spanning more than 26 film and video game productions . Her work has earned multiple international accolades, including the Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Video Game Score .
Alongside her composing career, Eímear is an internationally acclaimed conductor who made history in 2020 as the first female conductor ever to perform at the Academy Awards ceremony . Her landmark appearance at the Academy Awards represented a defining moment not only for her career, but for female representation in the world of orchestral conducting and film music.
Eímear has conducted many of the world’s leading orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Singapore Symphony Orchestra and the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. She was also selected by Nintendo to conduct the first-ever 3D filming of a game score and has recorded music for Sony Interactive Entertainment productions.
Her conducting work on The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses helped set industry records for soundtrack sales, while performances at venues including Beijing Olympic Stadium, the Mann Center and Wolf Trap have seen her perform to audiences of up to 80,000 people .
