Biography
Leda Glyptis is a seasoned fintech executive and former banker with over 20 years of experience.
She has led technology and transformation initiatives across a wide range of financial services sectors. Her work bridges strategy, innovation, and digital delivery.
She is the author of the best-selling book Bankers Like Us: Dispatches from an Industry in Transition (Taylor & Francis, 2023).
Her second book, Beyond Resilience: Patterns of Success in Fintech and Digital Transformation, will be published in 2025.
Leda speaks frequently at global fintech events, including Sibos, Money20/20, and Finovate. She also contributes to the industry through her popular #LedaWrites column on Fintech Futures, offering thought leadership on innovation and transformation.
In academia, Leda is a Visiting Professor of Practice at Loughborough University London, where she focuses on fintech and the digital economy.
She advises boards and leadership teams at banks, financial institutions, and technology companies.
Her guidance supports business model transformation, operational change, and infrastructure evolution.
She also serves as a board director and advisor to established tech firms and emerging fintechs.
Previously, Leda served as a Non-Executive Director at Flagstone and supported its record-breaking UK capital raise.
She was a NED at Simply Pay Me until its acquisition by MyTown Technologies. She also chaired the board of Geophy through its successful exit to Walker & Dunlop.
Her executive roles include Chief Client Officer at 10x Banking, CEO of 11:FS Foundry, and Chief Innovation Officer at Qatar National Bank.
Earlier in her career, she held key roles at BNY Mellon, leading innovation and transformation projects.
Leda studied at King’s College, University of Cambridge and holds both an MSc and a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
