Paul O’Connell ranks among Ireland’s greatest rugby players. He earned 108 international caps, with 28 as captain.

His career highlights include Triple Crown wins in 2006, 2007, and 2009. He also helped secure a Grand Slam victory in 2009 and back-to-back Six Nations titles in 2014 and 2015.

Paul represented both the British and Irish Lions on tours to New Zealand in 2005, South Africa in 2009, and Australia in 2013, captaining the side in South Africa. He also competed in four Rugby World Cups, showcasing his elite-level consistency.

At club level, Paul spent 15 years with Munster Rugby, making 178 appearances. During that time, he also helped secure Heineken Cup and Celtic League/Pro12 titles.

From 2007 to 2015, he led Munster as team captain, becoming a true icon of Irish rugby.
